TCM and Healthier SG

tcm365 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of Healthier SG or the Ministry of Health. This page is general information only, based on publicly available material from healthiersg.gov.sg, and reflects our own read of it. Always check the official site for anything current or authoritative.

What Healthier SG is

Healthier SG is a national Ministry of Health initiative focused on preventive care. Residents enrol with a family doctor, who becomes their primary point of contact for health, working with them on a personalised health plan covering screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle changes, with the goal of catching and managing health risks earlier rather than only treating illness after it appears.

Where TCM currently fits

Healthier SG is built around enrolment with a family doctor (a GP), and as far as publicly available information shows, TCM practitioners are not currently part of that enrolment model. That doesn't mean TCM and preventive health are unrelated. Many people already use TCM for ongoing wellness maintenance alongside a GP, as covered in our TCM and Preventive Health guide, but it means tcm365 has no basis to claim any formal role in, or connection to, the Healthier SG programme itself.

Our view

Singapore's broader shift toward preventive health is a good direction, and we think there's a sensible place for TCM within it, as a complement to a family doctor's care, not a replacement for it. If and when there's an actual, authorised pathway connecting the two, we'll update this page. Until then, we'd rather say nothing than overstate a connection that doesn't exist.
